Philips has produced more tech than most folks can imagine, but they are still relatively new to the smartphone world. The Philips S653H looks to be one of the company’s latest devices, and it has an eye-catching design and specs that put it just a touch below the flagship class.
It’s safe to say the majority of the Android smartphones we cover look similar to one another, with a few exceptions like the Galaxy Edge and HTC’s lineup. Needless to say, when we see something different, we tend to take notice, and that’s what we’re getting with the Philips S653H. The smartphone recently passed through TENAA certification in China, and as you can see from the photos, it has a different sense of style and some very slim bezels…
According to the TENAA listing, the Philips S653H will get its giddy up from 3GB of RAM and a Helio P10 clocked at 2GHz. You’ll find 32GB of expandable storage under the hood as well, and the display is listed at 5.5-inches with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080. Other features to note include an 8MP/8MP camera combo, fingerprint scanner, and 4G LTE. The handset measures 153.5mm x 74.3mm x 6.95mm and sips its power from a 2,550mAh battery.
As you’d expect, there’s been no word on the Philips S653H as TENAA listings don’t offer up that kind of information. The wait time between certification and a release can vary wildly as well, so we’ll keep you in the loop as more information comes to light on the Philips S653H.
