Some of our many readers in India will have heard of the Canvas Spark 2 smartphone from Micromax that released last year. Now there’s a successor as the Micromax Canvas Spark 2 Plus has launched with a budget price. It will be exclusively available in open sale on Snapdeal from tomorrow.
Micromax Canvas Spark 2 Plus specs consist of a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and a 5-inch display with FWVGA resolution of 854 x 480. It has 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded with a microSD card to 32GB, and is juiced by a 2000 mAh battery. There’s a 5-megapixel fixed-focus rear camera with LED flash, and a 2-megapixel front-facing snapper.
Further specifications include connectivity options of 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS, and it has FM Radio and a 3.5mm audio jack. It’s a dual SIM device and it launches running the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. The phone also features support for over 10 regional languages. The Micromax Canvas Spark 2 Plus price is Rs. 3,999 and it’s offered in Champagne Gold, Copper Gold, and Metallic Grey color options.
Micromax Chief Marketing Officer, Shubhajit Sen, said of the launch, “A large number of consumers are still using feature phones or a second hand phones, which provide immense scope and potential for them to upgrade to affordable smartphones. With the launch of the Canvas Spark 2 Plus, we are offering first time users, with a smooth transition at a wallet-friendly price.” Sen added, “Our new Canvas Spark 2 Plus will yet again showcase our commitment to empowering consumers and at the same time introduce more people to the best of the connected world.”
