Just yesterday we reported that the Meizu M3 smartphone was expected to launch today (April 25). Just as expected the device has now been officially unwrapped. This is a budget handset that will suit plenty of pockets, and we have details of the Meizu M3 price as officially announced at the launch.
The M3 is the successor to the Meizu M2 and has several similarities with a few improved specifications. Now that the device has been made official we can tell you that the majority of leaks about specs and also the Meizu M3 price turned out to be pretty much accurate.
Specifications of the Meizu M3 include a MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor (four cores at 1.5GHz and four at 1GHz), and a 5-inch display with HD resolution of 1280 x 720. There are two variants, one with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage and the other with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. Both are expandable via microSD.
Further specs include a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and PDAF, and at the front there’s a 5-megapixel snapper with f/2.0 aperture. The phone has a 2870 mAh battery and connectivity options include LTE, WiFi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, and GPS. The phone has a polycarbonate build with 2.5D glass at the front. It measures 8.4mm thick and weighs 132g. It’s offered in a variety of color choices including black, blue, gold, grey, pink, and white,
The Meizu M3 price for the 2GB RAM version is CNY 599 (around $92, £64, €82, or Rs. 6,150). Alternatively the M3 with 3GB of RAM is priced at CNY 799 (around $123, £85, €109, or Rs. 8,200). It seems likely that official availability will only be for China although there’s nothing confirmed about this just yet. Of course potential buyers who are really interested can always go down the import route.
