This next item is rather a brief piece of news as not too much is known just yet. However, it may interest some readers, as a new Coolpad smartphone is just about to be unveiled. The Coolpad Note 3 released last year followed by the Note 3 Lite early this year. Now the Coolpad Note 3 Plus launch is anticipated for May 6.
Coolpad has already issued invites for a launch event on May 6 in India, where it’s expected that the successor to the Coolpad Note 3 will be unwrapped. That move seems pretty certain considering the invites include the words, “Syed Tajuddin, CEO, Coolpad India invites you to experience the ‘PLUS’ of Coolpad Note 3.”
Interestingly the currently available Note 3 has just had its price cut to Rs. 8,499 on Amazon India. Now it looks as though this is to clear stocks before the arrival of the Coolpad Note 3 Plus. Unfortunately there’s no news yet on specifications of the Coolpad Note 3 Plus. However, it makes sense that it would have upgraded specs over the current Note 3.
For reference, the existing Coolpad Note 3 has a 1.3GHz octa-core processor, a 5.5-inch display with HD resolution of 1280 x 720, and 3GB of RAM. It has 16GB of internal storage, 3000 mAh battery, as well as 4G LTE connectivity. There’s also a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. We can only speculate that the Note 3 Plus Android smartphone might have a higher display resolution, more powerful processor, and perhaps more storage.
The good thing is that there’s not too long to wait until we should know the confirmed Coolpad Note 3 Plus specifications and pricing, and of course we’ll keep you informed. What are you hoping to see in the way of specs and features for the Coolpad Note 3 Plus?
