Intex has introduced a new smartphone for India today with the Intex Aqua Classic. The affordable handset is bound for the entry-level market where it will carry a price tag of Rs. 4,444 in the region.
The mid-range market is more crowded than ever, but the entry-level or “budget friendly” smartphone sector is not far behind. Each week brings a dozen or more inexpensive Android smartphones to the masses, and the Intex Aqua Classic definitely fits that bill. That is due in part to the innards, which include a quad-core 1.2GHz processor and 1GB of RAM.
The Intex Aqua Classic will also come with 8GB of internal storage under the hood, and while it’s not much, it is expandable up to 32GB through a microSD card slot. On the backside of the Classic, you will find a 5MP sensor with an LED flash while the front-facing snapper is listed as a VGA snapper. Other options to note include a 5-inch 854 x 480 display, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi-, GPS, and 3G. The Dual SIM device is powered by a 2,100mAh battery and runs Android 5.1.
If you’re interested in purchasing the Intex Aqua Classic, it will be available in Grey and Champagne through retail shops and e-tailers alike. The price tag is currently listed at Rs. 4,444, which equates to around $65 bucks stateside.
