Vivo is set to debut a new smartphone in the very near future, and today we’ve gotten the scoop on some of the innards. The Vivo X7 specifications have revealed themselves through TENAA, and it’s going to be one to watch.
While most of the smartphones we cover are in the 5.5-inch range these days, Vivo decided to go old school with a smaller form factor. The handset’s overall dimensions are listed at 147.3mm x 71.85mm x 7.24mm, and it has a weight of 151grams. The display is 5.2-inches, which is far from tiny, and carries a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080.
Beneath the glass of the Vivo X7, you’ll find a speedy octa-core Snapdragon 652 which is clocked at 1.8GHz and backed by 4GB of RAM. While there’s no mention of a microSD card slot, you will have plenty of storage out of the box with 64GB. As for the cameras, the rear camera is solid at 13MP, but the front-facing camera is on a whole new level. The Vivo X7 will have a massive 16MP snapper for selfies, which is nuts considering most just have 5MP sensors. Other features to note include a 3,000mAh battery, a fingerprint scanner, and Android 5.1.
Vivo will pull back the curtain on the Vivo X7 in a few short day on June 30 where they will announce the handset along with the Vivo X7 Plus. Pricing and availability are still up in the air, but the Vivo X7 price is rumored to be around 2,698 Yuan.
