The Meizu MX6 has been making the rounds in the rumor mill lately after a long period of hibernation. The latest news comes courtesy of Geekbench, where the handset made an appearance a few days back.
It’s no secret that the Meizu MX6 exists although its release date, pricing, and several other details are still up in the air. The Meizu MX6 specifications are about the only thing fairly solid with the device, and the ground beneath them got a little firmer today thanks to the new Geekbench listing.
According to the listing, the Meizu MX6 will sport a MediaTek Helio X20 which will be backed by 4GB of RAM. The OS is listed as Android 6.0 as well, and the device has a single-core score of 1822 while the multi-core score is 5183. It will have some pop, and the specs should be legit as they line up nicely with the previous leaks and listings.
While the Geekbench listing doesn’t tell us everything about the Meizu MX6, we have a good idea of what to expect by pairing this leak with previous ones. If things pan out, there could be two versions of the MX6 with a 3GB/32GB model and a 4GB/64GB edition. The camera is tipped to be in the 12MP/5MP range, and you can expect all the usual suspects in the connectivity department as well.
The Meizu MX6 isn’t quite as exciting as some of the recent behemoths we’ve covered although we expect it to be affordable, which means it should be very popular. We’ll find out soon enough as the company is set to unveil the Meizu MX6 on July 19.
