Galaxy Note7 with monstrous 6GB RAM and 128GB storage coming soon
All the excitement and curiosity surrounding the Galaxy Note7 seems to have died down after the release of the device. The phone redefines a lot of things that Samsung have stuck onto for the past years and they’ve made an exceptional beast of a smartphone. The phone was launched this week to universal acclaim and all the waiting has definitely gone in favor of Samsung. The top three smartphones of the first quarter of 2016 are all Samsung’s and they are riding high on the success of their flagships.
At the beginning of the Note 7’s rumors, it was said that the phone would come with 128GB of internal storage and 6 gigs of RAM. This rumor went along almost till the release of the smartphone and many people were dejected by the fact that there was only 4GB of RAM.
But now, Chinese Telecom certification site TENAA has updated the listing for the Galaxy Note7. The listing now shows a variant of the device with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. This variant is also said to be the dual-sim variant.
This variant of the Galaxy Note7 will be the top end model available in China, and that too with dual-sim capability. The model number in the TENAA listing is SM-N9300 which is the same as that of the Note7 that popped up on Geekbench too.
There are only a handful of smartphones that offer 6GB of RAM and the first name that comes to my mind is OnePlus 3. It comes with 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM that helps it to deliver unmatched performance. Samsung will join the list of some of the most powerful smartphones, but whether the apps and games can use the entire 6 gigs of RAM is a question that they should ask themselves.
