Xiaomi Redmi 4 specifications become clearer through TENAA certification
Last week, we got a quick glimpse of the Xiaomi Redmi 4 specifications as it passed through GFXbench. It wasn’t the most filling of leaks, but we’re pleased to say we have plenty of new details today thanks to TENAA.
A device sporting the model number 2016060 has graced the gates of TENAA and believed to be the somewhat mysterious smartphone known as the Xiaomi Redmi 4. Just like with the benchmark listing, this one leaves a few pieces out of the puzzles, so while we know more about the Xiaomi Redmi 4 specifications, they did not post any photos.
The previous listing said the Xiaomi Redmi 4 specifications would include a Snapdragon 625 and 3GB of RAM, which checks out according to TENAA. That said, there is also a 2GB model with 16GB of storage whereas the 3GB edition has 32GB of space. Both models will allow for expansion, and have a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080.
Beneath that slab of glass, you will find the usual array of sensors along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and 4G VoLTE. It also has a 4,000mAh battery, so you’re unlikely to run out of juice quickly given the display and SoC. Other features to note include a fingerprint scanner, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera, and Android 6.0. The handset measures 141.3mm x 69.6mm x 8.9mm and weighs 160 grams.
The rumor mill suggests Xiaomi will unveil its new handset on August 25th, which is right around the corner. If that’s the case, we expect to see something a bit more official within the next few days, and will keep you in the loop as more details surface.
