Elephone R9 uses the same tech on its back cover as the iPhone 7
Elephone is a brand that loves mimicking other smartphone companies’ flagship models. They recently launched the Elephone S7 which looked exactly like the Galaxy Note7. The company is launching yet another flagship phone, the Elephone R9, and it looks somewhat like the iPhone 7. The pictures of the phone have already come out and we also have a special Rose Gold version which looks gorgeous. The phone is expected to launch soon and there a few more surprises to this one.
Elephone claims that they have used the exact same technology on the Elephone R9 as the iPhone 7 on its back cover. The iPhone 7 uses nano-injection technology for its newly designed antenna lines to increase the signal reception and call quality. Elephone has used the same technology on the Elephone R9.
That is not all. The Elephone R9 uses the exact same anodizing technology on the back cover as the iPhone 7 to create a well-rounded seamless body. Both the phones use a metal unibody construction and Elephone claims that both the phones will feel almost identical in hand.
If the looks of the phone don’t impress you, the internals will for sure. The Elephone R9 comes with a 5.5-inch FHD display and uses a metal unibody and 2.5D glass construction. The chipset used is the MediaTek Helio X20, which boasts of a deca-core processor. There is also 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
The 13MP rear camera will be capable of taking some decent shots. Elephone R9 also has a fingerprint scanner on the home button and will come with Android 6.0. The release of the phone has not yet been revealed by the company, but it will definitely happen soon. It won’t be able to make a dent in the sales of the iPhone 7, but it is a solid device that offers amazing build quality and superior hardware.
