LG X Power and G Pad X II launch at US Cellular
Looking for an affordable smartphone with a massive battery in the states? US Cellular may have an option for you as the LG X Power has just launched through the carrier for $149.99.
The LG X Power was announced over the summer, but took its time making its way around the globe. While it never quite lived up to its X-Men inspired hype, you can blame Fox for that as the X-Men are even hawking Hanes these days. Destroying comic history aside, the X Power was billed as a smartphone that won’t leave you running for the charge, and that’s a claim it can live up to thanks to a 4,100mAh battery. The rest of the specs aren’t as stellar, but about what you would expect given the price.
- 5.3-inch 720p LCD display
- 1.3GHz quad-core processor
- 2GB of RAM
- 16GB of expandable storage
- 13MP rear camera with LED flash
- 5MP front-facing camera
- Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi/Direct, GPS/A-GPS, GLONASS, 4G LTE
- 4,100mAh battery
- Android 6.0
As you can see the X Power is no slouch, just a step or two down from the flagship class due to the display and innards. If you’re looking for something larger, the carrier also has the LG G Pad X II tablet up for grabs, which sports a 10.1-inch FHD panel, a Snapdragon 617 and 2GB of RAM. Throw in 16GB of storage, Dual 5MP snappers, and a 6,000mAh battery and you’ve just met the X Pad II.
The LG X Power will set you back $149.99 if you go unlocked but it’s considerably cheaper ($7-10 per month) if you opt for a payment plan. The LG G Pad X II gets the same pricing outright, but is also cheaper at $10 a month for 30 months or $12.50 on a 24-month stint.
