The Honor 8 release date has finally arrived for India, but that isn’t the only phone the company has ready to roll. Huawei also has the Honor 8 Smart and Honor Holly 3, so there is truly something for everyone if you opt for one of the company’s new devices.
If you’ve been out of the loop on the Honor 8, it’s a handset in the flagship class with a Kirin 950 and 4GB of RAM. The cameras are solid as well with a Dual 12MP setup on the backside sporting a Dual-Tone LED flash and Laser Autofocus while the front-facing camera is listed at 8MP. Other features include a fingerprint scanner, a 5.2-inch FHD panel, NFC, 4G LTE, and a USB Type-C port. The handset draws its power from a 3,000mAh battery and runs Android 6.0 out of the box with EMUI 4.1 on top.
If you are looking for something similar, but a bit less expensive there is the Honor 8 Smart to consider. It will have the same display and also features a metal build, but drops down to the Kirin 650 and 2GB of RAM. The storage is listed at 16GB, and other options include a 13MP rear camera, 8MP front-facing camera, and a fingerprint scanner. The battery and connectivity options appear to stay the same.
Last up is the Honor Holly 3. This one is in the phablet class with a 5.5-inch panel sporting a resolution of 1,280 x 720. It appears to have the same camera combo as the Honor 8 Smart, but a slightly larger battery at 3,100mAh. It draws is horsepower from a Kirin 620 and 2GB of RAM while the storage is listed at 16GB but expandable like it’s brethren.
The Honor 8 price for India is listed at Rs. 29,999 while the Honor Smart 8 will set you back Rs. 19,999. As for the Holly, it carries an affordable price of Rs. 9,999. The Honor 8 will be up for grabs today in the region, while the Honor 8 Smart and Holly are set to arrive soon after.
