OnePlus is thought to have another smartphone in the works, and the rumor mill has pointed towards the OnePlus 3S. A new report has given us a moniker switch, as the OnePlus 3T is now tipped as the company’s next big thing.
You never know where a good smartphone leak will come from. We’ve seen employees post promos from carriers and agencies like TENAA and the FCC are always a good source of information. Occasionally, we get leaks of the official sort which is what we have today in a sense. The OnePlus 3T leak comes from Weibo where it appears a designer has spilled the beans.
A designer from OnePlus posted to his Weibo account with the OnePlus 3T… oops. According to a recent Tweet from Carl Pei, we know it will have an Optic AMOLED panel and it’s also tipped to run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. That means it could be released sooner than later, and the rest of the specs should be solid.
OnePlus will be staying with Optic AMOLED displays for the foreseeable future.

Nothing else concrete is known about the OnePlus 3T although it’s expected to come with a Snapdragon 821 to keep up with the Joneses. Dash Charge tech for quick charging is also said to be featured on the upcoming device. In a nutshell, it sounds like a refresh of the OnePlus 3, which slightly updated specs.
At the moment, you will want to take news of the OnePlus 3T lightly although it would not surprise us in the least to see the company drop another handset for the holidays. The timing would be right as well considering the gap left behind by the Note 7 this year.
