Coolpad Note 3S gets listed with 3GB of RAM and Fingerprint Scanner
Yesterday we told you about a new product from LeEco and Coolpad. Today we are back with a solo device from the latter in the Coolpad Note 3S. It’s another affordable handset from the company and it has a couple of solid features that make it worth a look.
Coolpad has been cranking out Note’s for a while now including the Coolpad Note 3, which we covered earlier this year. Soon after that came the Coolpad Note 3 Lite and now here we are with the Coolpad Note 3S. It’s in line with the original when it comes to the specs but you’ll get more storage this time around and a different chip under the hood.
The original Coolpad Note 3 had a MediaTek MT6753 processor and 16GB of storage. The Coolpad Note 3S doubles the storage up to 32GB and replaces the MediaTek chip with a Snapdragon 425. The design is similar as are the rest of the innards which means you’re looking at 3GB of RAM and a 5.5-inch panel with 720p resolution. The camera combo clocks in at 13MP/5MP and other features include a fingerprint scanner, Dual SIM slots, a 2,500mAh battery and Android 6.0.
Overall, the Coolpad Note 3S is a mild upgrade with more storage and a slightly smaller battery. Consumers in the region will get a free Jio SIM card with purchase and the price of the phone is listed at Rs. 9,999 through Amazon.in. The company is also launching the Coolpad Mega 3 with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, 8MP sensors and Triple-SIM card support. The rest of its specs are similar to the Note 3s, but it has a larger battery and will set you back Rs. 6,999.
