It has been a while since we covered a new smartphone from Swipe. The Konnect Plus was that handset way back in September, but now it’s time to put the Swipe Elite Max in the spotlight. It’s affordable, and it has plenty of horses under the hood as well.
Swipe has gone for the sweep spot on the Swipe Elite Max by offering up the one thing every mid-ranger around strives for… 4GB of RAM. That was reserved for flagships last year, but in 2016 we have seen the better mid-range handsets roll out with that amount. That said, the smartphone has plenty of style as well with a sleek black glass body and a titanium frame. We’d be remiss if we didn’t also mention the stereo speakers dubbed Stereo Max.
RAM aside, the Swipe Elite Max will get the rest of its power from an unknown octa-core Snapdragon processor. The storage is listed at 32GB but can be kicked up with a microSD card. As for the cameras, the rear snapper clocks in at 13MP with PDAF and an LED flash while the front-facing camera is listed at 8MP. Connectivity options include a fingerprint scanner, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and the usual bells & whistles. A 3,000mAh battery will keep the lights on while Android 6.0 runs the box.
The Swipe Elite Max price is listed at Rs. 10,999 which puts it up against several similar handsets in the mid-range class. This one will only be available through Flipkart though, where you can score one in Onyx Black beginning tomorrow.
