LYF has introduced a slew of handsets this year. They have added the LYF F1S smartphone to their expanding arsenal over the weekend and it is ready to roll with a price tag of Rs. 9,599.

LYF has mainly stuck to the mid-range sector of the smartphone world with their handset releases. That’s where the LYF F1S smartphone will fit in as it’s a step below flagships like the Galaxy S7 or Apple iPhone 7. It’s also considerably cheaper and should offer up a solid Android-based experience for consumers on a budget.

The LYF F1S sports a 5.2-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080. There isn’t much to say in the design department, but beneath the glass beats a Snapdragon 652. The chip will get a boost from 3GB of RAM while the storage is listed at 32GB but expandable up to 128GB through the usual means. As for the cameras, there is a 16MP sensor on the rear with an LED flash to go along with a 5MP front-facing camera.

The rear camera on the LYF F1S is capable of handling 4K video and has several other software tricks to boot. A full array of connectivity options are present with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and a Hybrid Dual-SIM setup. All the usual sensors are listed with the exception of a fingerprint scanner which is a bit disappointing. That said, it does have Type-C USB charging for the 3,000mAh battery. The smartphone will run 6.0.
