CES 2017 will arrive soon although we don’t know if a new Samsung phone will be on display. The Samsung Galaxy S8 won’t launch until April but a new leak suggests it may borrow a feature from Windows-phones next year.
While Windows phones don’t have a large presence in the smartphone world, they did bring something unique to the table with Windows Continuum. A new Samsung phone could pull the same trick if a new rumor pans out. It will be dubbed the Samsung Desktop Experience and may debut when the new Samsung Galaxy S8 rolls out.
The new Samsung phone will take a page out of Windows playbook. The Samsung Desktop Experience shown in the photo will allow users to link up to their PC and keyboard through their handset which enables a desktop experience beamed from their mobile device. Windows users already know how handy that can be, and Samsung owners may found in April with the Samsung Galaxy S8 release.
While many expect Samsung to do something big with the S8 this year, things like a Samsung Desktop Experience could turn the tide as well. It’s a feature that obviously won’t be for everyone, but handy to have nonetheless if you purchase the Galaxy S8. It also allows Sammy to break out some new accessories and bundles for the S8, which means more money for the company in the long run. If successful, we imagine more new Samsung phone would come with the feature in the future as well.
