Vivo V5 Plus specifications include 20MP Dual Front Camera
The selfie craze will never die, at least not until we adopt holograms. While we wait on that day to arrive, devices like the Vivo V5 Plus are going to amaze us with outstanding selfie snappers.
Word of the Vivo V5 Plus broke yesterday with a brief tease but today we have a full blown leak. We had heard the smartphone would have a large selfie snapper, but assumed it would be in the 13MP range as its a Dual sensor setup. Well, we were off by a few Megapixels as a new leak says it will keep the camera on the regular model and add another one.
The Vivo V5 Plus will have a whopping 20MP sensor on the front, which is backed up by an 8MP sensor. We’ll give you a chance to let that sink in for a minute. The snapper is said to be the Sony IMX376 and will come with a “moonlight” flash as well. We don’t know the size of the rear sensor oddly enough (should be 13MP), but the display is 5.5-inches and will sport an upgraded resolution of 1,920 x 1,080.
A speedy Snapdragon 652 will provide the power for the Vivo V5 Plus, which is clocked at 1.8GHz. It will get a nice boost from 4GB of RAM while the storage is listed at 64GB. Other features include a 3,300mAh battery with Quick Charge, 4G LTE, and Android 6.0. If it carries over some of the features from the regular model, we should also see a fingerprint scanner, 13MP rear camera, and Dual SIM slots.
If you really love taking selfies and want a smartphone with some pop, it’s going to be tough to beat the Vivo V5 Plus. It has the largest selfie sensor around when you factor in the second snapper and is a solid enough of an upgrade to live up to the “Plus” moniker. No word on when this on will go on sale or the Vivo V5 Plus price, but we will keep you posted.
