Samsung Chromebook Pro release date set for February
There are thousands of devices running Android in the wild, but the Chrome OS has grown as well. The new Samsung Chromebook Pro release date has been on the mind of many consumers and now that things are official, we can dig into the Chromebook Pro specs.
The Samsung Chromebook Pro release date is set for Spring but the Samsung Chromebook Plus is going to arrive first. Both are geared to work well with the Play Store, which means you should have access to apps and games aplenty. The Chromebooks also have support for the stylus and has a slot built into the books to keep you from losing your new pen.
You will also get a tablet-like experience on the Samsung Chromebook Pro and Plus thanks to a display that rotates 360-degrees. The actual display is quite nice as well at 12.5-inches and sports a resolution of 2,400 x 1,600 so those pixels will pop. Other Samsung Chromebook Pro specs include 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and an Intel Core M3 chip with Intel HD Graphics 515. The Samsung Chromebook Plus will sport an ARM A53 processor with Intel graphics.
Both units will have speedy ports for data transfer and charging as well. When the Samsung Chromebook Pro release date arrives it will bring not one, but two USB Type-C ports. The battery size is listed at 39wH and Sammy says it can last for up to 8 hours on a charge. Obviously, that will depend on your usage as always. The Chromebooks will run the Chrome OS out of the box and come with a Beta version of the Play Store pre-installed.
We expect the new metal-clad Chromebooks to be popular, but you’ll be able to grab one before the other. The Samsung Chromebook Plus will arrive in February when it will debut through online retailers and shops like Best Buy with a price of $449. The Samsung Chromebook Plus release date won’t come until the “Spring” and the price was not listed at this time.
