Before the holiday season began in earnest, we heard a few leaks involving the Huawei P10. New Huawei P10 Edge renders have surfaced based on those rumors, which means we have some slick pics to peruse from the designers.
The Huawei P10 has been on our radars since November when a device hit GFXBench believed to be the mythical handset. Soon after, rumors of its design appeared claiming they would go edged with the handset. After looking at new renders from TechConfigurations, we hope that is true as the Huawei P10 Edge would be a classy and powerful handset.
If you keep up with the trends, you know there are different degrees of “edge” on smartphones these days. Sammy currently has the full edge, while plenty of others take a 2.5 approach or just add a gentle curve. The Huawei P10 Edge renders show something between the Galaxy Edge and the popular 2.5D look. The back of the smartphone appears to have a bit of a curve as well to go along with twin snappers and a fingerprint scanner.
The rumored Huawei P10 specifications will put the handset in the flagship class as well. The phablet has a 5.5-inch panel with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440. It may come with a flat and curved variant, at this point that is sheer speculation. The processor should be the Kirin 960 and it will get a major boost from 6GB of RAM. A Dual Rear camera setup may come into play as well along with Android 7.0. The Benchmark listing had the handset with 256GB of RAM although there may be more options available.
Whenever the Huawei P10 release date does arrive, it’s going to be a hot handset if it lives up to the rumor mills hype. The Huawei P10 Edge may arrive alongside the regular model or possibly not at all although the “edge” going to be popular in 2017 so Huawei could definitely go that route.
