Motorola may have not had a presence at CES, but rest assured they will release new handsets this year. The Moto G5 Plus specifications have leaked online today along with some photos which leads us to believe it could be one of the first models out of the gate.
The device shown in the photos is a prototype with an obvious “not for resale” slapped on to the bottom of the handset. Apparently, that doesn’t bother this leaker as he’s offering it for sale online. That is obviously a horrible idea although we love a good leak and this guy was kind enough to provide the Moto G5 Plus specifications to go along with the snapshots.
The listing for the Moto G5 Plus shows the handset to be in the phablet class with the usual 5.5-inch panel. This one will be of the FHD variety with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080. Beneath the glass beats the Snapdragon 625 processor which should get the job done for most folks and gets a nice boost from 4GB of RAM. Other specifications include 32GB of storage, a 13MP/5MP camera combo and a fingerprint scanner. The Moto G5 Plus is powered by a 3,080mAh battery and runs Android 7.0 out of the box.
While you don’t want to put too much stock in this particular leak, the smartphone looks to be an incremental upgrade over the previous model if things pan out. In other words, not exiting although it may be cheap. The leaker claims the Moto G5 Plus release date will arrive so we may find out soon enough if this one is legit.
