There has been a Xiaomi Mi 6 price leak today regarding three models for the upcoming smartphone. The leak comes from a Weibo user so is in no way official, so that’s something to bear in mind. Nevertheless, if accurate it contains some interesting information about the different processor variants that are arriving.
It’s claimed that the base version of the phone will carry a MediaTek Helio X30 processor and have a price tag of CNY 1999. As a guideline that’s equivalent to around $290, £240, or Rs. 19,800. The other two variants are tipped with Snapdragon 835 chipsets. The first of these has a price of CNY 2499 ($365, £300, Rs. 24,800). The other top-of-the-range model is priced at CNY 2999 ($440, £360, Rs. 29,800).
All three Xiaomi Mi 6 models are rumored to include an OLED display. It’s worth noting that earlier rumors mentioned two variants only, one with a flat display panel and the other with a dual curved display. Another snippet leaked is that the superior version will have an edge-to-edge or true curve panel. The Xiaomi Mi 6 release date is not known yet. However, as the Mi 5 released in April last year we can expect the Mi 6 to launch soon, possibly at MWC 2017 that takes place next month.
As the phone has not officially leaked there are no confirmed specifications just yet. However, previous rumors so far have included the Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor, a QHD resolution display, and 4GB and 6GB RAM variants with 64GB and 128GB of internal storage respectively. It’s likely to have a dual rear camera arrangement.
What are your thoughts about the pricing for this phone if these Xiaomi Mi 6 price leaks turn out to be accurate? Are you already considering it as your next smartphone purchase?
