If you are in need of urgent care, getting into the A&E can be a tricky pickle. If you live in East Kent, the WaitLess app may be able to lend a hand by getting you information in a flash by working with the NHS system.
Regardless of where you reside, getting injured can be a pain both literally and figuratively. Aside from the pain you feel from a fall, broken bone or a nail through a foot, waiting to actually be treated can be far worse. We have all been there. Well, if you are looking for a rapid response in East Kent, the WaitLess app may be able to lend you a hand.
The WaitLess app is built to ensure you don’t have to wait… or at least wait less than usual. It can direct you to local centers for minor injuries instead of the A&E, where people may be in dire need of attention. It will provide travel times using the GPS in your handset along with directions, hours and other valuable information on the locations nearby. The WaitLess app will also provide “waiting times” which we all know can change in an instant. That said, here are the places it covers…
- William Harvey Hospital, Ashford
- Estuary View, Whitestable
- Royal Victoria Hospital, Folkestone
- Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital, Margate
- Faversham Medical Practice MIU
- Buckland Hospital, Dover
- Victoria Hospital, Deal
While the WaitLess app is only good in Kent, it covers quite a few locations and more are said to be coming in the future as well. If successful, we could imagine this one expanding into other regions as well.
The early reviews of the WaitLess app are mixed as some say the wait times are off while others say it works great. Again, you’ll have to consider accidents or injuries arriving as you’re on the way, so the times could change by the time you actually arrive. If you’re looking to give the app a whirl, you can pick up the WaitLess app for free on Google Play or the App Store.
