There have been rumors about the Oppo Find 9 for longer than we care to remember. In fact leaks have been spouting for so long that we began to wonder if we’d dreamed the whole thing. Over recent weeks though we’ve started seeing new details emerge amid tips of a March 2017 reveal. Now a new Oppo Find 9 rumor outlines some key specs to look out for.

The latest rumor from China stems from a Weibo account and suggests there will be two Oppo Find 9 variants. The cheaper of these is said to be equipped with a Snapdragon 653 processor while the superior version has a Snapdragon 835 chipset. If this is accurate the latter of these seems unlikely to be available before April or May 2017, given the fact that this processor is thought to be in big demand for the Samsung Galaxy S8 flagship that is on the way.

Another of the tips from this latest rumor suggests both 4GB of RAM and 6GB RAM options, with internal storage from 64GB to 128GB. Also mentioned is a 5.5-inch display with Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440, a 4100 mAh battery, and support for VOCC flash charging. The camera arrangement is said to consist of a 21-megapixel rear camera and 16-megapixel front-facing camera.

The new Oppo Find 9 rumor also gives some details of the design. The smartphone is said to have a non-frame design using borderless technology and look similar to the Nubia Z11. This happens to tie in nicely with purported Oppo Find 9 renders that recently emerged. Finally a starting price of CNY 3999 is given (around $580, £465, or Rs. 39,500).

We have to stress that none of this should be treated as confirmed Oppo Find 9 specs, and we have to remain skeptical until an official announcement. However, it’s looking like an interesting device if the new details pan out. Are you still hopeful that the Oppo Find 9 will release soon?
