Moto G5 UK retail leak tips mid-March release
The Motorola Moto G5 has been leaked and rumored for a while. There is anticipation that it might be officially unveiled at Mobile World Congress that runs from February 27 to March 7. Now the Moto G5 release looks as though it could be very soon afterwards, as a Moto G5 UK retail leak tips mid-March availability.
Previously it was reported that the Moto G5 had been approved by the US FCC regulatory authority. In many cases we see the actual release of a device very soon after its appearance at the FCC. The latest leak comes Twitter and cites information from well-known UK online retailer Clove. An image shows a listing of the Moto G5 with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It’s offered in both Gold and Grey colour choices with stock numbers MOT-G5GL and MOT-G5GR respectively.
The really interesting part is that that both options say “first stock due mid March.” While this is not confirmed information from Motorola, if accurate there will not be long to wait after the company formally takes the wraps off the device. Leaks about the Moto G5 so far include specs such as a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with Adreno graphics, and a 5-inch display with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080).
Further unofficial specifications include a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter, and a 3000 mAh battery featuring fast charging. It has 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, FM Radio, and microUSB 2.0. A further variant with more RAM and more internal storage has also been tipped. The phone will be running the Android Nougat operating system out of the box and could possibly feature a fingerprint sensor.
Given the leaked specs so far the Moto G5 is a mid-range smartphone and should have a competitive price. As soon as we hear confirmed details of the Moto G5 price, release date, and specs we’ll bring you the news. Are you in the market for a new Motorola mid-ranger?
