Earlier today we told you about the LG Watch Style. Now it’s time to turn our attention to the more attractive option with the LG Watch Sport. As the name implies, it’s built for the fitness crowd although stylish enough to be worn anywhere you please.
The first thing you’ll notice when looking at the LG Watch Sport is its size. It’s a little chunky, and quite a bit thicker than the Style at 14.2mm. There is a good reason for that though as it has more tech under the hood. The LG Watch Sport specs include GPS to keep tabs of your workouts and there’s a heart-rate sensor on the back to check your pulse. The other big addition is NFC and 4G LTE which put it on par with Samsung’s flagship wearable.
While not for consumers with small wrists, the LG Watch Sport is a sharp looking wearable. It still has the rotating crown although it seems to be less invasive as the one found on the Style. There are two action buttons as well located on each side of the crown. One is used for Google Fit and the other for Android Pay while the Crown lets you zip through the menus and any notifications. Android Wear 2.0 will run the show, and it will run quite well thanks to the innards.

On paper, the LG Watch Sport and Style are similar but only to a degree. They both have the same processor and storage options, but everything else is a solid upgrade. The size is what may keep some away from this one however as it definitely is not built for women and you’ll need a solid wrist to pull this one off wall. Nobody wants to look like a child wearing a grownups watch.
As you would expect, those upgrades for the LG Watch Sport are going to come at a cost. Thankfully, it’s minimal compared to the Style as the LG Watch Sport price is listed at $349. While that’s not insignificant, you’re getting more RAM, a larger screen and battery, the connectivity options and those two extra buttons. The LG Watch Sport will go on sale in the states on February 10th through the Google Store, AT&T and Verizon. Other locales are expected to get the watch in the “coming weeks” ahead.
