The smartphone market in India is really embracing 4G devices at the moment, with companies vying to bring out the most affordable. Now a new Swipe smartphone follows the Swipe Konnect 4G that launched late last year. The Swipe Konnect Star launched with 4G VoLTE support has a price of just Rs. 3,799.
The Swipe Konnect Star price is more than the Konnect 4G (Rs. 2,799) but does step up some of the specifications. The new Swipe smartphone will be sold through Shopclues as an exclusive and a sales offer is also available. The phone comes bundled with a Jio Happy New Year offer meaning until March 31 this year those using Jio 4G SIM benefit from unlimited free 4G internet (FUP @ 1GB/day), SMS, and voice calls. As well as this the first 500 customers registering for the phone on the Shopclues website will receive Rs. 200 off the price.
Swipe Konnect Star 4G specs are decent enough for its cheap price. They include a 1GHz quad-core processor (chipset unspecified), 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD). It has a 4-inch display with FWVGA resolution of 854 x 480, a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing snapper. The dual SIM dual standby phone has a 1800 mAh battery claimed to offer up to 180 hours on standby or 10 hours of talk time. As well as 4G VoLTE the phone also supports WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, microUSB 2.0, a 3.5mm audio jack, and FM Radio.
This new Swipe phone has a polycarbonate body and is offered in Gold, Grey, and Silver colour choices. Pre-loaded apps include Flipkart and Opera Mini and the phone has support for 12 Indian regional languages. It runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with virtually stock UI.
