LG K10 (2017) price and specifications are official for India
The original LG K10 was pretty popular when it was first announced. The sequel was made official last month, and now the LG K10 (2017) is rolling into India. The handset is a nice step up from its predecessor and comes with a price tag of Rs. 13,990 in the region.
LG put on a bit of a show for consumers in India today. The launch of the LG K10 (2017) is important as it’s billed as “Made in India” and has the country’s SOS 112 emergency services built-in. In terms of design, the new model is a little more square than its predecessor. The back panel has been completely overhauled as well with a new sensor setup and a fingerprint scanner.
The display of the LG K10 (2017) will more or less stay the same with a resolution of 1,280 x 720. The chip powering the show is different with an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 while the RAM has been streamlined to 2GB. Another lower-powered model could turn up like last year, but for the moment it looks like 2GB may be standard. The storage is still listed at 16GB and expandable through the usual means.
On the rear of the LG K10 (2017), you will find a 13MP camera with an LED flash. The front-facing camera is listed at 5MP with a 120-degree wide angle lens. No surprises are found in the connectivity department so everything will stay the same aside from the new fingerprint scanner. This one is listed with 4G VoLTE and Android 7.0 as well. The LG K10 (2017) measures 148.7mm x 75.3mm x 7.9mm and has a weight of 142grams.
The LG K10 (2017) is going to find itself in a tricky spot this year. Prices have plummeted in the mid-range class, which means prices have dropped as well… for some brands at least. The LG K10 (2017) price is listed at Rs, 13,990 which is around $208. That is far from expensive, but the 2GB/16GB isn’t going to impress savvy consumers that know there are better options from lesser known brands. That said, user experience goes a long way (as does the software) so this one will still be an option for some.
