Lenovo Tab 4 line of tablets released!

Lenovo Tab 4 Tablets

Today it is hard to distinguish the line between a smartphone and a tablet. Many smartphones today are packing screens bigger than 6”. But, we do need devices with more screen to please our various desires. That is why the tablet market has remained at a stale pace. Only bigger companies like Apple and Microsoft are releasing tablets with new features and hardware.
For the regular consumer though, a simple tablet is more than enough for his basic needs, and that is where smaller companies shine. That is one of the reasons Lenovo is launching its Tab 4 series. Affordability and simplicity are some of the main features about the new devices, and here are some more details about them.

Lenovo Tab 4 10/10 Plus

First on the list is the 10 Plus, and it’s the most powerful of the bunch. It features a 10.1” Full HD display, 64-bit Snapdragon 625, up to 4GB RAM and up to 64GB storage. The cameras are 8MP/5MP rear/front respectively. There is also a fingerprint sensor, connectivity through Type-C and a 7000mAh battery that will last through a full day.
On the other hand, the regular version is for those that are not interested in the extra features the Plus has. It has the same 10.1” screen, capped at lower resolution though – 1280×800. It is powered by the Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. MicroSD card support is available on both models, so you won’t have a problem with filling up your storage. The cameras are downgraded to 5MP rear/2MP front and there is no fingerprint sensor. The battery capacity remained the same though.

Lenovo Tab 4 8/8 Plus

The lower additions to the 10 and 10 Plus are even more affordable than their bigger siblings. The Tab 4 8 Plus features an 8” Full HD display, the same Snapdragon 625 64-bit processor, up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The cameras are 8MP rear/5MP front, a fingerprint sensor is added for better security and it uses the Type-C USB connectivity. The battery is capped at 4850mAh, and while it may not seem as much, it will have enough juice to last you through the day.
The regular version packs the Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The display is still 8”, though capped at 1280×800 resolution, and the cameras are downgraded to 5MP rear/2MP front. USB Type-C is available on the regular version too, but the fingerprint sensor is out of the offering.

Pricing and availability

All of the models run on Android Nougat with an Oreo upgrade possible in the future. The Plus versions of the Tab 4 will be priced at $269 and $279, respectively. At this moment, there is still no available pricing for the regular versions of these models. We will update this post as soon as they are available. As a current Lenovo tablet user, I can assume that these will fit perfectly for the regular consumers. It will not hurt their pockets, nor it will limit them much from the other competitors.
