The ASUS ZenPad 10 is currently one of the best Android tablets in the medium price range. Priced at $180, we could even safely say that it is on the lower end, so even budget consumers could take a look at it. On the outside, you’re getting a plastic finish, with the edges on the front being metal for extra protection. On the inside, you’re getting a decent package. The chipset found in the ZenPad 10 is the MediaTek 8163 – a decent contender that should handle everyday tasks. Also, it comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which should be more than enough. The biggest downside of the ZenPad is the version of Android, which comes in the Marshmallow flavor. It is already few years old, but again, we’re not that much bothered since this is a tablet. In conclusion, it is a worthy pick.

Low budget: Amazon Fire family

If you don’t want to shell out many of your precious money for a tablet that will only be used for media consumption, the Amazon Fire family is perfect for you. All of the devices are designed from plastic, which is expected for the low price. On the inside, you’re getting some decent hardware. The Amazon Fire 7 is featuring a quad-core 1.7GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The Amazon Fire HD 8 is packing a better screen and 1.5GB of RAM. Almost everything else is the same as the Fire 7. Both tablets come with a modified version of Android, which is heavily oriented around Amazon.
