Tablets are getting all their own way at CES 2011 in Las Vegas, well there is of course Google new tablet operating system Android 3.0 which is codenamed Honeycomb and the Google guys apparently demonstrated Android 3.0 at the event.

According to an article over on Techtree by way of Engadget, the Google guys showed off Android 3.0 Honeycomb and the guys at Engadget managed to grab a few shots of the OS along with some video footage, unfortunately the guys aren’t sharing the video so we can’t embed it here for your viewing pleasure, however not to be outdone we do have a video below.

Apparently the user interface of Android 3.0 doesn’t look anything like previous versions of Android and there seems to be redesigned widgets for the larger display while the browser apparently looks a lot like Google Chrome.

You won’t see Android 3.0 Honeycomb hitting Android smartphones as the video confirms that Android 3.0 has been built entirely for tablets. There’s also a Google Talk Video plug-in that works with any browser which should be a killer feature which will apparently enable video conferencing from an Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet to any other computer.
