HP WebOS Topaz Tablet Specs Revealed
Okay so apparently HP is rumoured to be unveiling a new webOS tablet at their event on the 9th of February, and it is reported that the webOS tablet will be the HP Topaz and as with most things before an event kicks off, device specs find their way onto the net waves.
Thus that’s what we have for you today as according to an article over on Slash Gear by Chris Davies, the guys over at Pre Central have somehow managed to get their hands on documentation revealing the specs of the Topaz tablet.
So here’s what is known, the HP Topaz webOS tablet will sport a Qualcomm 1.2GHz dual-core MSM8660 processor, 9.7 inch XGA 1024 x 768 screen, integrated Adreno 220 GPU, 1.3 meegapixel front facing camera, 512MB DDR2 RAM, 16g/32g/64g eMMC storage, WiFi Dual-band 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth2.1+EDR, 2 integrated speakers, accelerometer, gyro, microphone, and 3.5mm jack.
Size wise the HP Topaz measures 190 x 240 x 13.7mm and weigh in at 700 grams, optional HSPA and LTE and CDMA at a later date, oleophobic Gorilla Glass, and Touchstone support although it isn’t compatible with the current Touchstone and thus HP is developing what they are called “Touchstone v2.”
This new “Touchstone v2” will apparently bring new functionality to the wireless charging device such as wirelessly sharing of pictures, websites, contacts, music from Palm smartphone, wireless audio streaming by Bluetooth to speaker dock, and video streaming from Touchstone video dock to HDMI out or VGA, and wireless gaming.
So there you have it all we really need now is a release date and price for the HP Topaz webOS tablet, but I doubt if that will be spilled just yet.
