New HTC Thunderbolt March 21 Release, Your Predictions

The release date for the HTC Thunderbolt is getting a little boring now but we said we would report on everything we find, well how about adding March 21 to your release list.

So far we have all seen Verizon HTC Thunderbolt release dates being February 14, 17, 24, 28, then March 3 and 10th, which means these dates are void, then we heard that March 17th is a possibility and now according to BGR and Droid-Life March 21st has popped up.

Now these are all just online rumours, they could be true but we always suggest waiting for an official announcement and until then we will still report what we find or know. Apparently according to BGR their tipsters do not have proven track records but the new March 21 date did show up on HTC’s Facebook page briefly.

According to Droid-Life they were having a casual chat with a friend at Verizon and the word “Official” when the potential date was mentioned.

Verizon if we are not mistaken release products on a Thursday and March 21 is a Monday, and before you ask yes the Apple iPad 2 is being released on Verizon tomorrow but that is Apple’s doing. As soon as the official HTC Thunderbolt release date has been mentioned we will let you know.

Please do give us your HTC Thunderbolt release date predictions in the commenting area provided below. Thanks (Picture above is a fantastic Photoshop)

i think i need to switch to sprint i need a phone now nd not even knowing the release date is annoying to say the least either verizon releases it or im out of the verizon network for good

not only that, but hardly anyone is talking about WHY the release is continually being delayed. at least with Sprint, you know the EVO is a top notch phone, and nobody has ever complained about that phone. does anyone really know what issues there will be with VZ and this phone? it seems to me that there are much larger issues here.

I have had Sprint and Verizon (Alltel) for over 10 years. We think Verizon is best because Verizon says so and Sprint doesn't. At least Sprint has had 4G for since last summer and offers plenty of 4G phones to choose from including the HTC EVO, sister to the Thunderblunder. I have not yet seen why VZ is better than Sprint, I travel and both have always worked except in the Finger Lakes in upper NY where VZ was better 4 years ago. I have big concerns with the true reason for the delay, I know there are network problems. Today I told the Mgr. of my VZ store to take me off the list even though I was to be included in the first delivery. With only a 14 day return, I don't want to get caught in a 2 year problem till my next upgrade. Hope that helps you.

You can get a 10% AAA or AOL or other discount when you sign up at Sprint so in stead of 69.96 you pay $62.95 plus $10 (or $9.00) for a smart phone. Sprint has mobile to any mobile including Nextel, Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile while VZ is only to VZ. I recently learned that I can call my favorite 5's for free, but I get charged the minutes if they call me… With VZ, you will only be lock into 3G rates temporarily I have heart (another romor) then the rate will go up for 4G. They will tell you that when you get your phone.

ROFL, is there a word for Vaporhardware? Between this and the Intel Sandy Bridge debacle, sitting on a fat wad of cash to be spent on technology… Will it ever get spent is the question?!?

  4. I predict it will be released on March 21st, 2012.

I really wish some other 4G phone was releasing before the 21st though so that I could buy that, even though the thunderbolt has exactly the specs I want, when none of the other phones do, I am sick of this shit.

  5. spalding12 says:

horrible battery life and a 4g network that isn't ready to handle the traffic
it's going to be a while or folks will be complaining endlessly after getting the thunderbolt

  6. Cookie says:

With time rapidly running out on what will be a short-lived shining star of a phone, and the demo SIM's being rolled out today along with the TB marketing app, I am betting on March 17 also. Pending, of course, Vz's network working properly.

  7. This release date is driving me insane… Release it now the Evo is almost the same phone and its been out for 8 months and counting it just has new hard ware and a better battery life then the evo and better kickstand.
