Looks like there may be a new Android smartphone in the making in the HTC camp that will be known as the HTC Rider, and said HTC Rider has apparently found its way into the hands of a Chinese website, but word is this one isn’t a clone.

According to the guys over at Ubergizmo, by way of Uberphones, Chinese site 911 Sniper Blog somehow got hold of the HTC Rider and posted a rather blurred snap of the device, but nothing else.

The guys reckon the HTC Rider looks similar to the HTC EVO 3D with the exception that this device has a chrome grill over the earpiece and a front facing camera to the right, and it’s not too clear whether that red trim is the colour of the Android handset or if it’s a case.

Apparently the rumour doing the rounds is that the HTC Rider is actually the European version of the HTC EVO 3D, but that at the moment is simply speculation, but no doubt given time HTC will get around to officially taking the wraps of this new device.
