A while ago an image of purportedly iPhone 5 camera sensor parts hit the net that showed the next generation iPhone could have a repositioned camera flash, we reported on that particular article (here), and a supposed iPhone 5 case also showed the flash being moved to the opposite side. But what could be the reason for moving the flash?

Well according to the guys over at Pocket Now, repositioning the flash on the iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S whichever you’d like to call it probably wont affect low light sensitivity when taking pictures or video as the light should be about the same, and the only thing that changes is the angle at how the light hits the subject.

Apparently if the angle is small then subjects will more than like result in red eye whilst increasing the angle should reduce the chances of red eye and thus this could be the reason Apple may reposition the iPhone 5 flash to the right side to get a better angle.

So what do our readers think about this being the reason for a repositioned camera flash on the next iOS smartphone, plausible, but do you agree or do you think there is a different reason for moving the flash?
