Top betting firm Paddy Power have today slashed the odds on the launch of the Apple iPhone 5 taking place this coming September from 9-2 to 9-4 following “significant betting” on the launch date over the past 24-hours.

The betting firm had originally a 2012 launch date installed as favourite, however a recent flurry of bets prompted Paddy Power to slash the odds on a September 2011 launch for the hotly anticipated Apple smartphone.

Paddy Power have also cut the odds on the Apple iPhone 5 having a curved screen from 6-4 to 4-5 as speculation continues to mount.

Technology betting expert Ken Robertson said “While little was disclosed about iPhone 5 at yesterday’s iCloud launch, our customers seem to be reading between the lines and now seem certain that a Fall launch is on the cards for Apple.”
