Gingerbread HTC Runnymede Poses For Press Pic

We all know there is a new Android smartphone coming from the HTC camp called the HTC Runnymede, and today the new device has posed for its first press picture showing that the HTC Runnymede is an all white handset along with a large display to attract the attention of the Android faithful.

The HTC Runnymede press picture comes out way courtesy of the guys over at Pocket Now, but unfortunately doesn’t reveal any new details on the smartphone that we haven’t heard before.

The rumoured specs for the HTC Runnymede are that the handset will tout a 4.7-inch qHD touch screen, an 8 megapixel camera with dual flash, 720p video, a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera for your video calls, a 1.5GHz single core MSM8255, 758MB RAM and 16GB storage, latest HTC user interface, HTC Sense 3.5, feature DNLA connectivity, and a pair of Beats headphones, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Although the guys do say that due to the Beats Audio and that camera the image capture and sound quality are “top notch.”

Apparently according to the article the pricing of the HTC Runnymede has taken a slight hike since we last reported on the matter, previously the 16GB model was said to cost £499, while the guys say £530, and the 32GB was originally touted at that £530 but is now £530 both unlocked of course.

However naturally none of the above has been confirmed and thus still remains in the realms of rumour and should be treated as such. Still no word on just when we are likely to see the HTC Runnymede hit the public space, but no doubt as HTC is holding an event on the 20th of this month in New York City we’ll learn more then.
