Android Ice Cream Sandwich Arrives At Google HQ
Every Android user knows that the next outing of the Android operating system is Ice Cream Sandwich, and one sure-fire sign that the next OS is on its way is when the Google guys follow their tradition and erect a giant statue outside Google headquarters, and just like previous Android operating systems, this has now happened with Android Ice Cream Sandwich.
Of course the placing of the Android Ice Cream Sandwich statue was captured on video, and we have that video for your viewing pleasure below courtesy of PC Mag, and shows that the Ice Cream Sandwich statue is the only one that is actually shaped like the Android robot.
ICS as it has come to be called, joins the likes of donut, éclair, Froyo, and of course honeycomb on the front lawn of building 44 in Mountain View, so hopefully it wont be too long before the Android faithful see the OS officially unveiled.
As you are aware, Samsung and Google postponed the debut of the Samsung Nexus Prime that will be the first smartphone to carry ICS, but the rumour is that Samsung will go ahead with the debut on the 3rd of November with and official announcement rumoured to be coming on the 27th of this month.
However, according to the PC Mag guys, Samsung says that those ICS and Nexus Prime rumours are “not true whatsoever.”
But with the arrival of the Ice Cream Sandwich statue at Google’s headquarters, surely the OS will be making its big splashdown sometime soon. Anyway, for all you Android fans out there, head on down and check out ICS officially being erected on the candy flavoured lawn of Google…enjoy.
