Ah the fateful MeeGo platform with its one and only smartphone, the Nokia N9 is still popping up in the mobile space it seems albeit the operating platform being thrown in the mobile bin before it got chance to get off the ground, and as the Nokia N9 is the only MeeGo device out there we presume this is why Nokia has posted a video showing the making of the Nokia N9, and yes we have that video for your viewing pleasure below.

The Nokia N9 Journey video comes our way courtesy of the guys over at Phone Arena by way of Engadget, which takes an almost three and a half minute look at the manufacturing process for the Nokia N9.

According to the guys it looks like the video was shot at Nokia’s Salo plant in Finland, with most of the process done by robots while the assembling of the chip and screen fitting is done by real live Nokia employees.

Apparently according to the Phone Arena guys, Nokia smartphones that are made in Finland are destined for release in Europe while Nokia handsets made in China are for shipping elsewhere in the world.

According to the blurb on the Nokia YouTube page, “The Nokia Journey – A story about the making of the most beautifully simple smartphone.”

For those that may have forgotten the Nokia N9 sports a 3.9-inch capacitive AMOLED Gorilla glass touch screen, 8 megapixel auto-focus rear camera with Carl Zeiss optics and dual LED flash and 720p video, front facing camera, 1GHz Cortex-A8 processor, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, 16GB or 64GB internal storage, 3.5mm jack and of course the Meego operating system.
