Galaxy S II Skyrocket and HTC Vivid AT&T Release Dates and Prices

For the AT&T faithful over in the good old US of A, AT&T has now unveiled two new LTE enabled smartphone offerings along with their release dates and prices, the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket and the HTC Vivid for you consideration.

According to the guys over at Slash Gear, the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket and the HTC Vivid will become available from AT&T stores as of the 6th of November, so this coming Sunday.

The Galaxy S II Skyrocket is a 4G enabled version of the Samsung Galaxy S II along with its 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display packing Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread OS, 8 megapixel rear facing camera, 2 megpixel front facing camera, 1080p video, 1.5GHz processor, 16GB storage and microSD expansion up to 32GB and 4G LTE connectivity.

The HTC Vivid for AT&T will pack a 4.5-inch qHD touch screen, 8 megapixel rear facing camera with f2.2 lens, 1.3 megapixel front facing camera, 1080p video, 1.2GHz single core processor, and again 16GB internal storage, microSD expansion up to 32GB and Android Gingerbread operating system.

Now for the pricing of both Android smartphones, the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket will hit your pocket for $249.99 when signing on for the usual 2-year term, and the HTC Vivid will cost slightly less at $199.99 again with that 2-year agreement.

Of course if you wish to take advantage of AT&T’s 4G network you will require a 4G data plan, of which AT&T offers 2, DataPlus that gives 200MB data for $15 per month with additional 200MB of data at $15 or DataPro that offers 2GB data for $25 a month with an additional 1GB costing $10, which if you wish to use the handset as a mobile hotspot the DataPro package costs $45 for 4GB a month.
