iPhone for Steve Jobs back cover available

I’m sure most of the iPhone faithful out there have their own way of remembering the late Steve Jobs, however one such clever clogs has come up with a way of immortalising the Apple chief on the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S with a cleaver mod of the Apple logo to deliver the iPhone for Steve Jobs.

According to an article over on iDownload Blog by way of Mic Gadgets, a 19-year old iOS fan in Hong Kong has come up with this special mod of the Apple logo, which shows Steve Jobs face inside the Apple logo cut out.

The designer painstakingly created a graphic for the rear panel of the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S whereby the Apple logo features a silhouette embedded in the logo, and I have to say it does look like a very fitting tribute to the iPhone guru.

For those that would like to have this unusual tribute to the late Steve Jobs on their iOS smartphone the back covers are available to purchase online from Kogadget and command a price tag of $23.90, which for this tribute to Steve isn’t a great deal of cash to hand over and are available in both black and white models.

According to the product page blurb…”Beautiful glass back panel featuring redesigned Apple logo by Jonathan Mark, a Hong Kong design student. Made to commemorate Steve Jobs, visionary co-founder of Apple.”

However if you do wish to own this iPhone for Steve tribute then you probably need to move on it fast as no doubt once Apple realise, the Apple lawyers will do their stuff to have this iPhone accessory removed from sale.

We’d love to know if any of our iPhone toting readers snap up one of these iPhone for Steve back plates, so if you do feel free to let us know by dropping us a comment below.

I’m sure the last thing Jobs would have wanted is to have someone vandalize his most prized possession – the element of design. I hope Apple takes a stand and does something about this. Moreover, part or all of the $24 should go towards charity to justify such a movement. Right now its just plain inappropriate with more focus on the “moolah” and less on remembrance.
