Galaxy Nexus no release delay confirm Samsung
Apparently there have been rumours doing the rounds that the first Android Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone to hit the mobile space, namely the Samsung Galaxy Nexus release would be delayed until sometime in December rather that the expected release date of the 17th of this month; however potential customers fear not as the word is there will be no delay.
According to the guys over at Cnet, they have from Sammy confirming that the release of the Galaxy Nexus will go ahead as scheduled on the 17th of November in the United Kingdom.
Apparently rumours hit the net that the Android 4.0 sporting Samsung Galaxy Nexus would have its release date delayed due to Amazon moving their shipping date to read the 2nd of December, and Amazon still have that date listed, which could mean Amazon will get the Android smartphone later.
According to the guys though, Samsung can’t afford to let that Nov 17th release date slip as the handset needs to become available as quickly as possible in order to compete against the iPhone 4S and bring a battle between Android Ice cream Sandwich and iOS and of course Windows Phone.
So there you go Android fans, if you are in the UK and really want to get your hands on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and a first taste of Android Ice Cream Sandwich then this Thursday is definitely the day regardless of the rumours.
