iBooks 1.5 iOS app update, full-screen & night reading
Some of you may already be aware of Apple’s iBooks iOS app, but today for those of you who enjoy reading a book or two, will be pleased to learn of new improvements via a new update.
Thanks to Apple’s new update that arrived today, the new iBooks app available for the iPhone and iPad tablet devices, will include a full screen layout, new fonts and a night time reading theme. In order to get any benefit from the new 1.5 iOS update, you will have to download from Apple’s App Store with devices using iOS 4.2 or later.
So what do we know about the new add-on’s? Firstly if we take a look at the full screen layout, according to AppleInsider, users will benefit from focusing on the words in front of them without feeling that they are being distracted at any given moment. In relation to the new night time reading theme, this speaks for itself, allowing books to be read in the dark without straining your eyes.
New fonts including Athelas, Iowa, Charter and Seravek have now been included, as well as refreshed annotation palette allowing color to be chosen for highlighted words.
