Instagram Android photo app release, will you join
There may be a percentage of you currently out there who are unaware of what the Instagram photo app can offer. Already available on iOS devices, Instagram allows you to not only share your photos with friends and loved ones, but gives you the benefit of applying special effects to them. Racking up popularity, the app already has a following of some 50 million users, and this could easily rise with news that Android may be getting in on the act!
Although details may appear a little vague, according to cbsnews.com, Chief Executive Kevin Systrom has announced at the LeWeb conference, that an Android version is on its way. In an official statement from Systrom he said, “We have two people working on Android now. I’m excited to be able to see our numbers today nearly double.”
Following on from this, he spoke about advertising in which he stated, “I think the advertising experience is going to be extremely engaging. It’s much harder with text, but Instagram offers photos, and brand names such as Audi, Kate Spade, and Burberry have joined Instagram. They’re sharing pictures of products and the message of their brands. That shows we’re at the beginning of what will come with brands.”
Unfortunately as to when Android will join remains a mystery, but we wanted to know if you would be a part of the experience given the opportunity? Are you an avid Instagram fan already on iOS?
