For some, a Sony Ericsson phone device may not be your first choice when deciding what to buy, there are so many to choose from with manufacturers fighting tooth and nail to have their handset top rival competition. But today Sony Ericsson’s new Xperia Active phone, geared up for the sports person amongst you, has been recognised through online retailers such as “Newegg,” with news of an unlocked price.

First up before we give you it’s price, we wanted to take a closer look at what the Xperia Active can offer and what if anything stands it above anything else in its category? Including a 3-inch touchscreen display with wet finger tracking, the Xperia Active device benefits from dust proof and water resistant materials, which as Engadget stated, allows the Xperia Active to be submerged under three feet of water for at least 30 minutes.

Packing a 1GHz CPU, Android Gingerbread 2.3.4 OS, the Xperia Active brings with it a 5 megapixel camera, preinstalled sports apps allowing you to look at your fitness levels, on-screen heart rate/pulse tracking aided with ANT+ technology and so on.

Now for the price? Over at Newegg.com, the Xperia Active Orange/Black unlocked price will set you back $339 with a saving of $60 off the original price. Another option is that of a White/Black version for the same price.
