MWC 2012: HTC quad-core Tegra 3 4G phones launch

Entering into 2012, we have twelve new months ahead of us, in which to sample new devices that will eventually hit retailer shelves. To aid this, events will be taking part throughout the year, the first major one commencing next week with the start of CES, swiftly followed next month with the MWC in Barcelona.

Last year, many devices benefited from dual-core processors, take Samsung’s new Galaxy S II or even their latest Galaxy Nexus, but towards the end of 2011 we started to hear from multiple sources, that processors on some new products would incorporate that of a quad-core type. The latest is that manufacturer HTC are rumored to be showing off a range of “powerful phones” at February’s MWC event.

According to bgr.com, it seems that Taiwan HTC plans to introduce smartphones powered up by NVIDIA’s quad-core Tegra 3 processor, alongside Qualcomm MSM 8906 4G LTE chipsets. This would tie in nicely with HTC’s rumored Edge smartphone also destined to make its entrance at the same event. Just recently we reported on this very phone as well as Samsung’s new Galaxy S III that again is rumored to include a quad-core processor.

What are your thoughts on HTC bringing out quad-core Tegra 3 4G phones? Should others such as Samsung and Apple be worried this year?

Well goes for the Htc is that they will surely
Price it higher than Samsung.. and with low
RAM and display. That’s where usually Samsung
Takes the first place coz they put a more
    Sensible price than HTC. Losers
