Control Nikon D4 DSLR Camera with iOS devices
News has filtered through today that will certainly prick up the ears of all photography enthusiasts, be it amateur or even the professional amongst you. We can announce the new D4 DSLR camera from manufacturer Nikon with some impressive specs to speak of, along with an additional feature that is enough to wow a large percentage of you.
At the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show, a yearly event allowing manufacturers to show off their wares, the new Nikon has been announced and shown in all its entirety. Features of the new D4 include as redmondpie.com reported, a new FX-format CMOS image sensor, a pixel number of 16.2 milion with a range of D4 lighting conditions made easy.
Alongside this, the new D4’s camera enables images to be written to memory cards at a far speedier rate, thanks to its built in native support for UDMA 7 compatible Compact Flash memory cards and high-speed XQD memory cards. But if this wasn’t enough to tickle those taste buds, then perhaps if we mention that the new D4 camera can be controlled wirelessly via an Apple iPad or iPhone device.
Details are a little sparse, but it’s thought that the user can control the camera wirelessly via the use of Mobile Safari, and not through the use of Nikon’s App Store application.
