Motorola XYBOARD tablets (WiFi) shopping, strategy buying

For those over in the USA that might be in the market for an Android tablet of the Motorola flavour, but don’t wish to be tied to any particular carrier, you might like to know that you can now pick up one of the Android 3.2 Honeycomb packing Motorola XYBOARD tablets right now.

According to the guys over at Droid-life, both the 10.1-inch and 8.2-inch Motorola XYBOARD tablets are now available in two sizes, 16GB or 32GB with the 16GB WiFi 8.2-inch XYBOARD commanding a price tag of $399 whilst the 16GB WiFi Motorola XYBOARD 10.1 slate will set you back $499.99.

However, if you prefer more storage the 32GB 8.2-inch tablet will set you back $499.99 whilst its larger brother sporting 32GB commands a price tag of $599.99.

Have to say though at that price point one could opt to pick up the Asus Transformer Prime, which comes with Android Ice cream Sandwich aboard whilst with the Motorola XYBOARD tablets you will have to wait to be upgraded to Android 4.0, and of course the Transformer Prime touts a Tegra 3 quad core processor whilst the XYBOARD’s come with a dual core OMAP.

So with all that considered what will your Android slate buying strategy be, will you be rushing to snap up a Motorola XYBOARD slate or do you prefer to get your ICS fix by way of the Asus Transformer Prime? Feel free to let us know by dropping us a line to our comments area below.
