For those Android developers that would like to make their content accessible for all PlayStation certified devcies, after being behind closed beta doors since last November, Sony has now made available their PlayStation Suite open beta SDK for Android developers.

According to the guys over at Engadget, the free PlayStation Suite open beta SDK is now available for anyone that wishes to download it, and will be able to make developer content accessible to all certified devices including Sony Android tablets and the PS Vita.

The open beta will enable user to create both touch screen input and and physical buttons with a PC based simulator, debug and test their creations on Sony devices and have debates in the dedicated developer forum.

The PlayStation Suite open beta SDK incorporates a 2D graphics game engine along with a variety of samples that utilise the libraries that will help developers create content optimised for portable devices.

Furthermore, Sony will release an official version of the PlayStation Suite SDK along with launching an official Developer Program for Sony PlayStation Suite sometime later in the year, and the developer program will enable developers to distribute their content via the PlayStation Store on a commercial basis once they complete a licensing agreement with the company.
