We like to bring readers details about all sorts of apps covering a wide range, such as gaming, social, reference and productivity. Today for those in the business world we thought it would be useful to give you some details about a new Evernote initiative and its Android and iOS apps.

Evernote is widely-used, mainly for note-taking but also with features that act as a way of helping the user remember everything they need to, across all of their different devices using the cloud. It can sync your notes, keep you organized, save ideas and help make you more productive. Now Evernote CEO Phil Libin has talked about the company’s plans to establish a business program in the next few months, which will be available across multiple platforms and extend its use to enable administrators to have improved control of security and data.

Where Evernote has previously targeted individuals and schools Libin notes that 85% of users use Evernote at work and 75% use it at home and at work. The forthcoming official Evernote business program will offer administrator controls which can be used for such aspects as purchasing group accounts, controlling security and settings and controlling transfer rights, according to Infoworld. Eventually it’s anticipated that it will be used by corporate IT systems and Libin predicts that more and more businesses will become comfortable using cloud services.

Other versions of Evernote, as well as this business addition, are planned for the coming months. The current Evernote apps are hugely popular and of course when the Evernote business program is launched it will be intriguing to see what further versions of the apps will offer. Whether the enterprise concepts will be integrated into the current apps is not yet known but we’d imagine that it’s more likely there will be separate Evernote business apps and that these would be widely adopted.
